For long term sustainable school development, the focus needs to be on learning outcomes, learning design, responsiveness to teacher and student needs, teacher management, community and alumni relationships, integrity, fair decision making, and financial sustainability. Balanced student number and steady enrolment year on year is vital for a thriving school.

Although Practising School is a free of cost Kannada medium school for students, it is primarily losing enrolments to privately run English medium schools with good infrastructure. It is to be noted, some of the alumni of the school came from neighbouring villages and Taluks. They utilised government resident hostel nearby in pursuit of quality education from this school. With proper educational infrastructure and learning experience development it is possible to restore the glory of the school with healthy student strength.

We welcome and are encouraged by recently announced collaboration with The Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka and private firm to develop 105 Government Schools to meet the aspirations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The aspiration and aim of this program is strongly aligned with our vision for Practising school. Our ambition is to make students competitive & good citizens of the future by imparting quality education.
Our school is rightly placed and well suited for developing into model school with its noble purpose & origins, rich history, quality alumnus strength, excellent locality / resources, and tie-up with District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) for teacher’s training. We believe there is no better candidate than Government Practicing school for the model school program from North Kannada district.
As such, we humbly request honourable MLA, district administrators and concerned authorities to firmly endorse “Practising school” as candidate from our district to be selected for this program. We assure you alumni & school community are committed to make this vision a success with our active involvement, co-operation and support.
