PRACTISING SCHOOL KUMTA was established as an associate school of District Education Training Institute on 31-07-1947. This institution has been known for its quality education for the past 75 years and thousands of students have built their lives by studying in this great institution.

This once famous school in the town of Kumta is in need of significant building infrastructure repair and basic educational amenities. The student strength has been on the decline progressively and at present around 55 students from pre-school to Year 7 mostly belonging to low socio-economic communities are studying here.

Despite having limited privileges and amenities, the efforts of the students who have time again demonstrated their talent and  competing with better equipped school sincere effort & hard work of teaching staff imparting quality education to best of their abilities is truly commendable. 

With the help of Alumni friends , Patrons and community we believe we can certainly make a significant difference and restore the glory of the school and hence the inception of the Punarutthana Trust.
